Join Chef Cory Schreiber for a day in the kitchen and the field.
In the morning Cory will provide an in-depth cooking demonstration using Minam Lodge garden ingredients and focusing on how seasonal ingredients are paired together from a chef’s perspective. Recipes will be provided for everything that is prepared. In the afternoon, weather permitting, Cory will lead a foraging walk to hunt for chanterelle mushrooms in the surrounding area. Dinner that evening will be a multi-course meal using ingredients from local partner farms such as Carman Ranch, Prairie Creek Farms and of course the Lodge garden, paired with a variety of Eastern Washington wines.
Cory founded Portland’s legendary Wildwood Restaurant, pioneering the farm-to-table movement in the 1990s. In 1998, he won the James Beard Award for Best Chef Pacific Northwest. For more information on Cory, foraging and recipes, go to cookingfromthesource.com.
To attend the event, just make a reservation to stay at the Lodge. Wine pairings will be available for an additional $25.
