What better way to enjoy an evening at the lodge than with some great food, drinks and mountain banjo music!
We are excited to welcome Austin Quattlebaum of the Portland-based band Crow and The Canyon to the Lodge September 15-16! Austin is a great banjo picker, but he brings so much more to the Lodge deck with his infectious smile and playful antics. Austin brings people together; encouraging comradeship and building community.
Austin been performing solo all over the country since 2009. His childhood home of Savannah, Georgia shines through in the swampy tones and sleepy Southern lilt of his banjo and melodies. It doesn’t get much more Savannah than “The Ghost Tangled in the Oaks,” his 2013 LP. His solo performances blend gritty originals and tasteful covers, weaving three-finger banjo, clawhammer and flat-picking guitar songs into seamless sets. Sung with a bit of gravel in his throat, his tunes captivate audiences everywhere he goes.
Part of our occasional Music in the Minam series, Austin’s performance is free to Lodge guests who would like to enjoy live music on the deck in the evenings. Just book a room to join us!
